One of the aims of the WBAG is to encourage a healthy lifestyle within the Community. Currently we are running the following projects:
WBAG Healthy Lifestyles – Education for older People.
This project is aimed at men and women over 50-year-old and is being run from Bowling Old Lane Cricket Club.
‘HENRY’ (Health, Exercise, Nutrition for the Really Young): Effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and its role in obesity prevention within the wider complex system.
Over the years we have organised trips, events, activities to encourage people of all ages to participate in physical activities such as walking, cycling, swimming and sports such football, badminton, tennis, squash and golf.
We have organised lots of activities and events over the years such as:
- Big Lunch Eid Party
- Cycling
- Charity Fundraising events
- Day trips / long weekend residentials.
- Participated in local events such as ‘More in Common’ event in City Park
